Kumudini Handicrafts is a unit of Kumudini Welfare Trust of Bengal (BD)Ltd. As a unit of trust which is engaged in the general welfare of the people ,Kumudini Handicrafts promotes and the traditional crafts of Bangladesh, supporting craftspeople across the country, particularly women for whom it is often the only source of regular income. Over and above the family responsibilities and household duties, some twenty five thousand rural women are engaged in the creative pursuit of embroidering the exquisite Nakhshi Kantha ,the embroidered quilt.
